Kristin Schwarck graduated from Andrews University with her Masters in Physical Therapy and completed a transitional Doctorate in PT while working for HHSM. Kristin uses her training as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and Pilates instructor to help her patients conquer their goals and dreams. A competitive bike-rider, Kristin recently completed the Breck Epic, a 6-day ultra-endurance mountain bike stage race held above 10,000 feet. Additionally, she enjoys telemark skiing with her husband Clay during the winter and vacationing in the Galapagos Islands.

Barbara Thomas

Barb Thomas earned a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Colorado and subsequently completed graduate work in Physical Therapy at Western University of Health Science. She is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, Athletic Trainer, and Certified Pilates Instructor which offers her a unique skill set within the realm of rehabilitation. Her favorite part of therapy is seeing athletes of all level return to the slopes or field of competition. In her free time, Barbs loves being on the water either rowing on Lake Dillon or sailing in the Caribbean.

Amy Heflin

After graduating from Colorado State University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Amy Heflin joined HHSMC to focus on hand therapy. She is a certified ergonomic assessment specialist, assisting local employers with workplace injury prevention and training. In addition to family fun-time with her husband Troy and their two children, Amy enjoys mountain biking by the dredge and traveling to Hawaii for a little rest and relaxation.

Christina Black

Christina received her BS in Exercise and Sport Science from University of Georgia and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University. She has worked as a seasonal Physical Therapist for Howard Head for four years, spending time with patients in Breckenridge Emergency Room. Christina loves to spend her summers traveling.  She particularly enjoys her frequent visits to Africa, where she volunteers as a Physical Therapist and works at different orphanages.

Eric Dube

Arriving from Chicopee, Massachusetts, Eric comes to Howard Head Sports Medicine with an eagerness to learn and explore.  In 2009, he received his undergraduate degree, and in 2011, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, both from American International College in Springfield, MA.  Eric is interested in orthopedic and sports physical therapy.  Specifically, he enjoys incorporating functional balance training into his plans of care.  An avid outdoorsman, Eric enjoys a variety of skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping.  In Mass, he spent some of his time woodworking, building furniture and other pieces.

Mary Dixon

Mary is a graduate of the University of South Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then moved to Colorado to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado Anchutz Medical Campus, and to ski. Since graduating, her focus for continuing education has been primarily manual therapy based. In her free time Mary likes to be outside and you will find her in the mountains either on her bike, with a backpack, or on skis.

Salem Shaffer

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, Salem decided it was time to see the country. Having moved from coast to coast, and everywhere in between, she knew she wanted to be in Colorado. Salem moved to Denver where she earned her certification as a Medical Assistant from PIMA Medical Institute. After enjoying the exciting city life of Denver for a year, it was time to explore the mountains and finally get in some quality snowboarding. She moved to Breckenridge this past September and has been enjoying every minute of it! She loves everything outdoors, the laid back lifestyle, and the incredible people she has been fortunate enough to know and work with. She is really looking forward to this summer and seeing why all the locals brag about it!
