Ali Cofer grew up in North Carolina and received her undergraduate degree in Business Management from James Madison University in Virginia. After sustaining a number of shoulder injuries from skiing and rafting, Ali became interested in physical therapy and went back to school to pursue a career in the field. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008 from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and completed the HHSM Sports Residency Program in Vail. Currently, Ali primarily focuses on sports injuries and orthopedics and has recently become certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling, as well as earning her Sports Certified Specialist designation. Ali stays very active on both water and land, enjoying rafting through the Grand Canyon and cross country skiing with her dog Tele. After an exhausting day outdoors, Ali prefers curling up next to the fire with a good book and a glass of wine.

Ami Doyle

After receiving her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Louis in 2000, Ami Doyle returned home to Colorado and began working at HHSM. She is certified as an Orthopaedic Specialist and enjoys treating a wide variety of sports injuries. As Vice President of the Summit County Rotaract Club, Ami is very active in the community and volunteers her time raising money for local non-profit agencies. Her most memorable vacation included a month-long bike trip around the island of Ireland, although  her recent trip to the Havasu  Reservation in the Grand Canyon is a close 2nd place. Ami is an avid hockey player and competes for the local Breckenridge Blizzard women’s team.

Terri Stashick

A native of Canada, Terri Stashick graduated with her Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. After working at various ski resorts in Canada, she moved to Colorado with her husband Paul and began working with HHSMC in 1999. Focusing on spinal injuries, her extensive training with the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy complements her expertise. Terri is an avid cyclist and her enthusiasm for the sport has taken her all the way to Italy to bike the Giro D’Italia route. She enjoys skiing the Ruby Bowl at Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler, BC and her and her son take an annual spring adventure to hike up Arapahoe Basin and then ski down the North Pole Couloir.

Lauren Johnson

Lauren graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in English and Spanish from CU Boulder and is licensed to teach K-12 Linguistically Diverse Education in both languages .  Lauren joined Howard Head in early 2010 and recently became the newest member of the Silverthorne team as the clinic’s Patient Representative.  Lauren is the head coach of the Summit High School Gymnastics Team, where they have ranked 6th in the state for the past three years.  When not on the gymnastics room floor, you can find her spending time with family and friends or hiking with her husband, Erik and their two Pit Bulls, Kouser and Brody.

Jill Sorensen

Jill grew up in Chicago and fell in love with Colorado during college.  She graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana.  Jill found her way back to Colorado to join the Howard Head team at the Silverthorne clinic, where patients appreciate not only her clinical skills, but high energy and positive attitude as well.  An avid triathlete, Jill qualified and competed in the Hawaii Ironman.  She spends her summers outdoors mountain biking, racing, and running.  In the winter, Jill and her husband, Kurt telemark and skate ski and love taking hut trips.

Amy Heflin

After graduating from Colorado State University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Amy Heflin joined HHSMC to focus on hand therapy. She is a certified ergonomic assessment specialist, assisting local employers with workplace injury prevention and training. In addition to family fun-time with her husband Troy and their two children, Amy enjoys mountain biking by the dredge and traveling to Hawaii for a little rest and relaxation.

Eric Dube

Arriving from Chicopee, Massachusetts, Eric comes to Howard Head Sports Medicine with an eagerness to learn and explore.  In 2009, he received his undergraduate degree, and in 2011, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, both from American International College in Springfield, MA.  Eric is interested in orthopedic and sports physical therapy.  Specifically, he enjoys incorporating functional balance training into his plans of care.  An avid outdoorsman, Eric enjoys a variety of skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping.  In Mass, he spent some of his time woodworking, building furniture and other pieces.
