On Saturday, May 8, 2010 Howard Head Sports Medicine participated in the Summit County Rotaract Red Ball Beach Bash. It was the annual fundraiser for Rotaract, an event in which you get to see 50+ exercise balls coming flying down the High Noon Ski Run at Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort. This year’s event raised over $4,000 to benefit the Summit County Rotaract’s mission to support local non-profit organizations. The funds from this year’s event are going to The Keystone Science School Campership Fund to help send some kids to their exciting science camps.
“Howard Head Sports Medicine enjoys the opportunity to support local community programs”, says Jen Gotantas, Regional Director for Howard Head. “We feel that it is our responsibility, as a leader in physical therapy in Summit and Eagle Counties, to serve as a resource for the community’s needs and requests.”
According to Summit County Rotaract President, Kristin Lee, the event was a wonderful success. “We had a great group of volunteers for the event, a fun and exciting environment at the Basin and we were able to raise a record amount in the six-year history of the event.”
